Night Shift Team Lead

We are looking for a Composite Laminator or Trimmer Night Shift Team Lead to join The BRP Composite Team at our Bordon facility in Hampshire.

In this role, you will lead and supervise the night shift team, ensuring that composite components are manufactured to the highest quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership position in a dynamic and innovative environment.

This is a night shift position, 4 days x 10 hours Monday – Thursday from 6pm – 4:30am. We offer Base Salary + Overtime Premium , a company pension, 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays and private healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

‣ Oversee the nightly operations of the laminating & trimming team, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
‣ Provide training and guidance to team members.
‣ Monitor the work process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
‣ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the laminating process.
‣ Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report progress to management.
‣ Ensuring all parts meet strict quality and motorsport standards
‣ Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and adhering to health & safety requirements.

Skills

‣ Proven experience in composite laminating or trimming and team leadership within the motorsport or aerospace industries.
‣ In-depth knowledge of composite materials, laminating/trimming processes, and manufacturing techniques.
‣ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
‣ Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
‣ Experience with safety and quality management systems in a manufacturing setting.
‣ Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
‣ Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
‣ Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the workplace. ‣ Previous trimming/assembly experience is essential
‣ A background in F1, Motorsport or High-Performance Automotive industries
‣ Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances and deadlines.
‣ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
‣ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
‣ Positive attitude and team player.
